The entry fee now includes one standard copy of the full-colour bound Map Book prepared by Rallymaps indicating the start and finish points of all Regularity & Navigational Sections, the location of all Test Sites and Main Controls/Rest Halts and the basic route through each Link Section. Whilst it is not the definitive route and must be checked against the General Route Instructions (GRIs) and compared with the master set of maps on display at the start, this Map Book is considered by many competitors as an invaluable aid. The Map Book will be available for collection at documentation, but can be obtained in advance of the event on payment of the postage charges. The standard book will be available in laminated form for an additional charge.

The Land�s End - John O�Groats Association has agreed to accept the results of the 2007

LE JOG as verification of a successful completion of the continuous journey from �end to end�. Any crew who are classified as finishers will be accepted into the membership of the association (subject to compliance with the rules of the association) without having to submit the usual verification documentation.  The first year membership fee will be paid by HERO.

A Novice Classification has been introduced for 2007 and is open to any crew in which neither member has finished in the top twenty or won a class award in any event run under a permit issued by the MSA or any equivalent National Association or Governing Body. In addition to receiving route information issued to all entrants, crews classified as Novices will be provided with details of the regularity sections in either Tulip Road Book format or as map hand-outs at the start of each section. Crews entered as Novices will compete for the Novice Silver Gilt Medal and not for Gold, Silver or Bronze medals under the general classification.
