Ms Caroline Carver/Ms Caroline Readings Toyota Colorado 1997 M15 CES GB/GB
Aged 22, Caroline Carver went to Australia for a holiday and stayed for ten years. She returned to the UK for her first rally, the London - Saigon Motoring Challenge. Hers was the only all-female crew on the 63 day, 12,500 mile journey, which she completed in a Lada. Both she and co-driver Caroline Readings have an insatiable curiosity for things new - and are busy raising money so they can donate their car at the end of the trip to their chosen charity, Rainforest Concern.

Both of them hate early mornings (and particularly dawn starts) so conversation will clearly be limited during this event. Caroline is preparing herself with a diet of Dulche de Leche (vanilla & condensed milk) which she reckons will insulate her from any weight loss during the trip. Her Lada fell to bits on the Saigon trip - so the Toyota Colorado's suspension is busy being upgraded. The crew know each other well: they completed London - Cape Town together in 1998. Caroline Carver has just published her first novel, Blood Junction, a thriller set in the Australian outback. See more about her on www.carolinecarver.com
