Lady Pauline Harris/Mrs Ann Locks Porsche 911 1967 RUN 9 GB/GB
Pauline describes herself as a "Jack of all trades". She puts some of her many skills to good use by chairing the Mencap Challenge Awards, which she co-founded with Dame Norma Major in the early 1990s. She is a member of the Board of Governors of two City technical colleges, and is working with her husband on a new government initiative to set up an Academy School in South London. She clearly has a competitive spirit. Besides rallying, she has competed in most areas of equestrian sport, and at one time held an amateur flat race jockey license. She and Ann met over breakfast on a rally a few years ago, and 'clicked instantly'. Since then they have won the Ladies' award on last year's Classic Malts, and shortly after came 4th overall on the first Rallye des Princesses. Ann trained as a nurse and now owns a care home for the elderly.

RUN 9 is being prepared for the Inca Trail by Porsche specialist Francis Tuthill. The car was 'very sad' when Pauline bought it as an import from the USA. The engine was in a cardboard box; the bodywork was handpainted black; and there was a hole in the driver's seat - "Maybe for a potty?" suggests Pauline.
