Paul and Mary are originally from New York, and now live in London. Life began for them in 1989 when they took part in their first rally - the Carrera Panamericana. Since then, they say, "it's been downhill all the way!" They now have four rally cars - and two children. They're looking forward to the adventure of driving through remote areas they'd never see any other way, and to driving the many mountain roads that this event promises in abundance. |

The Shelby Mustang has already tried to kill them twice: once with carbon monoxide poisoning on LE JOG in 1992, and with a locked up drive train at 100 mph on the way to the 1996 Corse Retro. It has the distinction of being the only classic car ever to finish the FIA Dubai Rally, which they entered in 1998. It is being professionally prepared by Gerry Brown - with plenty of welding, attention to the suspension, shocks and springs. It will be fully rewired - and have an extended roll cage fitted for all those mountain passes |
