Pat was born and brought up in Iowa. He has spent 30 years as a practising lawyer - and 25 years collecting and restoring Buicks. The Inca Trail 'represents another great adventure in life' - following on from the classic Peking - Paris of 1997 and Around the World in 2000. For Inca Trail, though, Pat is moving from classic cars to the most modern possible: the Rendezvous 2002 will be one of the first to roll from the assembly line. Apart from minor changes (removal of rear seats for storage space and installation of a Branz odometer) the Rendezvous will be unchanged from production specification. Pat's wife is probably accustomed to his adventures by now - but she would still like to know who is going to take over his jobs while he is gone.
