Rick is an active sportsman - he skis, plays tennis, swims, walks (he backpacked India in 1997), and toured the world playing rugby up to the age of 40 - though Rio is the only place in South America that he visited on his many tours. He reckons his wife, Diana, comes in handy on these events: she will keep him out of trouble and read extracts from the Healey workshop manual as he works under the car. Their Healey is remarkable: it did last year's Round the World rally without either breaking down or suffering a puncture. "Well done" to Orchard Restorations of Sussex: Rick clearly hopes this scenario will be repeated. After more than 30 years of marriage, Rick claims he and Diana know one another "very well". His preparations include telling Diana that the mountain roads are NOT twisty, that there are NO unprotected drops, and that the car is NOT fast. "But she doesn't believe me", he laments ... | ||||
