PRESS INVITATION
Saturday
10 June
National Motorcycle Museum
nr. Birmingham
On 7 October 2001, one hundred classic cars and 4x4s will set out from Rio de Janeiro on the next enthralling HERO challenge: THE INCA TRAIL.
John Brown, who thirty-one years ago set the route for the South American leg of the 1970 London - Mexico World Cup Rally, has just returned from his detailed route survey for The Inca Trail: a distance of 46,000km in 14 weeks.
The Inca Trail Open Day on 10 June provides a golden opportunity to hear at first hand from John about the excitements and challenges that lie ahead for crews and event officials alike.
The day will also provide a chance for the press to meet intending competitors and find out more about them and their rally cars, many of which will be brought along for expert assessment and discussion.
We hope too that you will want to join us: the programme for the day follows.
Please contact Julie Eaglen at HERO if you wish to attend so that we can add your name to our lists.
On arrival please park as directed by HERO staff in the museum car park in front of the Britannia Suite, then follow signs to the Britannia Suite.
